GE Innovation Centers – Saudi Arabia, UAE & Turkey
A series of cutting-edge, interactive experiences developed for GE’s global Innovation Centers, each designed to showcase GE’s technology, sustainability initiatives, and innovation through immersive digital storytelling, real-time data visualization, and interactive installations.
About The Project
The Saudi Arabia GE Innovation Center was one of the earliest large-scale interactive installations I worked on, making it an exciting and career-defining project. Developed in collaboration with Imagination Sydney, the center featured multiple interactive experiences designed to educate visitors about GE’s role in Saudi Arabia’s energy, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors.
Spanning 12 touchscreen applications and 4 supporting installations, the project was built with a strong focus on performance and visual quality, ensuring silky-smooth 60fps animations and real-time data visualization. A common visual theme, featuring dynamic floating triangles, tied the experiences together, creating a unified and visually stunning digital environment.
A key feature of the center was its RFID-based interaction system, allowing visitors to register at the entrance, collect personalized content, and seamlessly interact with multiple touchpoints. From large-scale projection walls to multi-screen information hubs, each experience was designed to be intuitive, engaging, and cutting-edge for its time.

Key Features
RFID-Powered Interactive Journey
Visitors received RFID-enabled cards upon registration, allowing them to unlock content, interact with exhibits, and collect information throughout the center.
Multi-Screen Data Visualization
A massive Christie Micro-tile Stats Wall displayed real-time data and infographics using physics-based animations for a dynamic, engaging storytelling experience.
High-Performance, GPU-Accelerated UI
Built with advanced rendering techniques, ensuring silky-smooth 60fps animations and highly responsive touch interactions.
Synchronized Projection Experiences
The Vision2020 and People of the Kingdom applications used multi-display rear projection setups, creating cinematic, large-scale presentations for immersive storytelling.
About The Project
Located in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, this GE Ecomagination Center was built to showcase sustainability and smart city innovations. This project pushed the boundaries of interactive storytelling, seamlessly blending digital interfaces with physical installations to create an immersive, cinematic experience.
The highlight of the center was the Feature Table, a CNC-milled 3D cityscape placed on top of an array of 55” screens, where visitors could trigger various eco-friendly scenarios through touchscreen consoles. As scenarios were activated, animated visuals would play beneath the physical model, illuminating the city in stunning detail, while edge-blended projections provided additional contextual content.
Alongside the Feature Table, we developed a range of interactive touchscreen applications, including Emerging Trends, Peak Water, and Energy Inefficiency, which provided engaging deep dives into sustainability topics. A unique crank-powered interactive allowed visitors to explore energy efficiency concepts in a hands-on way, translating physical motion into digital interaction. The entire experience was built with smooth 60fps rendering and GPU-accelerated visuals, ensuring a seamless, highly responsive user experience.

Key Features
Feature Table – A Physical-Digital Hybrid
A CNC-milled 3D cityscape, placed atop an array of 55” screens, where animated scenarios were projected beneath the physical model to bring sustainability stories to life.
Crank-Powered Interactive Display
A unique mechanical interface where users turned a crank to control an on-screen animation, visually demonstrating energy efficiency and power generation.
Multi-Screen, Cinematic Storytelling
Visitors could trigger sustainability scenarios on large-scale projections, creating a cinematic, multi-layered visual experience.
Advanced GPU-Accelerated Rendering
Every application featured real-time physics-based animations, ensuring buttery-smooth interactions and visually striking UI transitions.
About The Project
For the Turkey GE Innovation Center, our focus was on creating a personalized, data-driven visitor experience. Unlike the previous centers, which emphasized large-scale interactive displays, this project introduced tablet-based interaction with real-time location tracking via beacon technology.
Visitors were provided with a tablet upon arrival, which allowed them to log in, explore exhibits, and collect content by tapping on various RFID-enabled touchpoints throughout the center. Using beacon tracking, the system could detect the visitor’s location in real-time, dynamically adapting the experience to where they were in the space.
The technical challenge of fine-tuning beacon accuracy added an extra layer of complexity, but once refined, the system delivered a seamless, location-aware engagement platform that allowed visitors to customize their journey and take their learning experience beyond the physical space. The project successfully integrated digital and physical engagement, making it one of the most forward-thinking Innovation Centers GE had developed.
